William T. Peirson, Jr.

William T. “Bill” Peirson, Jr., age 75, of Hockessin, DE, originally of Yorklyn, DE passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Wilmington, DE in 1947 to the late William T. Peirson, Sr. and Grace Byrd Peirson. He attended A. I. Dupont School and Served in the U.S Army. He worked and retired from the Mt. Cuba Center in 2002. Bill owned and operated a small lawn care service part time and enjoyed working at his barn with the family’s four horses. His favorite was his mini horse, Blitz. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family going fishing, hunting and riding his Harley Davidson.

Bill served with the Hockessin Fire Department for 53 years and was a lifetime member where he volunteered as a Fire Fighter, DE State Fire Police and a Board of Director.
Survived by his wife of 32 years, Deneane of Hockessin, and their Son, William T. Peirson III (fiancé Mandolin) of Yorklyn and Daughter Amanda Peirson of Yorklyn, Daughter Donna Leuallen of Wilmington, Son Timothy Peirson (Kristi) of New Jersey and Daughter Renee Peirson (fiancé Clifton Sykes Jr) of Hockessin along with many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Bill’s siblings are ; Sister Caroline Klyce of CA, Brother Gene Peirson (Mary Ann) of Landenberg, Brother Ralph Peirson (late Wife Leanne) of Wilmington, Cynthia Johnson (Jerry) of New Jersey and many nieces & nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life and a Last Alarm Dedication at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 25, 2023 to the Hockessin Memorial Hall, 610 Yorklyn, Rd., Hockessin, DE 19707.
