Ray Hancock lit a candle and writes,
Bill and I had a good history together: John Dickinson High School, U of D, U. S. Coast Guard, and working together at Brady's Ocean Highway Restaurant and at Crown Cork and Seal. We also shared a love of foreign cars. Bill had the gift of gab that was of benefit to him for a lifetime. He also had a forward looking vision that guided him. Although passing years sadly reduced our contact, I often happily looked back to the good times we shared. I will always be thankful for the lunch we shared last August that was arranged by our mutual friend, Dave Pryor. Gone to soon, Bill will be sadly missed.

Even though he lived in Dover and I live in Newark, we 'watched' Perry Mason every night. Both of us furiously texting back and forth and never could figure out who was the bad guy but we always had a good time. I will truly miss my brother.

I am deeply saddened to have just learned about Bill's passing. He and I were very close at Dickinson High and for a good while thereafter, until work moved me away in 1980. I have many great memories of those days and wish there could have been many more recent ones, as well. I send my sincerest condolences and prayers for comfort to his family and friends. I would dearly have loved to have been part of his life in these latter years. Best regards, also to the guys: Ray Hancock, Harold Moss, Ray Brotherton, et al. If you get a chance, send me a note. I'll love to catch up. Joe (jmielnicki@cox.net)

I worked with Bill many years ago at Hoechst Celanese. He was a very intelligent person & had a giving spirit. Even back then he had a love for cars. I was sitting on my porch today thinking about some of my old friends & he came to mind. I googled his name & found this obituary. So very sad at your loss. My prayers and condolences to his family & friends.
