William Biordi

William Biordi passed away at his home in Rehoboth Beach on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the age of 74. He was surrounded by his family. Bill was born in July of 1948 to the late Luciano and Rose (Figurelli) Biordi in Chester, PA. Bill attended Chichester High School and graduated from West Chester University. Bill is survived by his wife Nancy, and their daughter Claire Biordi, son Jason Keenan and his wife Caitlin; sister Tess Culbert, brother Mike Biordi and his wife Pam, and many loving nieces and nephews. Bill is also survived by his former wife, Jodi Ramone. Bill was preceded in death by his son Nicholas, as well as his brothers Angelo, Ray and Donnie, and sisters Nathleen and Carmel.

Bill was a hard worker who always challenged himself to do more, both in work and life. Some of his most joyful moments were spent in the kitchen surrounded by family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father and family man. He loved to dance, and had a zest for life that was infectious to all those around him. His eternally positive mental attitude and ability to find joy in every experience led his friends to coin the phrase “Bill Biordi Good” to define the best things in life, “taking happiness to a whole ‘nother level.”

Bill was a beloved leader, mentor, and friend to hundreds of insurance agents, brokers, financial advisors, and home office staff from numerous companies across the country. He worked selflessly for the people who reported to him, and for that, they gave him their unqualified support, willingly following him from one company to the next.

Bill fought a long battle with Cancer with the help of his doctors Adam Raben of the Helen Graham Cancer Center and Kevin Kelly of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and all the dedicated nurses that helped him along the way.

His smile lit up every room and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Bill loved the beach and would say he felt closer to God by the ocean.

Nancy and family, I am so sad to hear that Bill passed. I loved him. We worked together at Penn Mutual and then when I started my own consulting firm he hired me to work with him personally, and with every company he went to. I cherished his friendship. I have never met a harder worker, or anyone with such a strong will to live. We were all so lucky to have him in our lives. He loved his family endlessly. Cherish your memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Patty

Someone that I admire very much told me very recently that a good uncle is like a second father. A template you can use in deciding what kind of man you want to be. Having you as my Godfather, I couldn't agree more.

When you open the dictionary to look up the meaning of infectious smile you will see a picture of my friend Bill. My cherished memories of our high school days will be with me forever. As we get older our paths did not cross as much as we would have liked but numerous phone calls, text messages and e-mails kept the line of communication open. Many visits to the Biordi Family home back in the day was always a sensory delight due to the fact that something was being created in that marvelous Italian kitchen. Always remember that his spirit will be forever by your side . You won't have to look for him.. He will find you. Be open to the possibility. And it will surely bring a smile and a memory of him. Peace, Love and Acceptance to Bill's Family and Friends.
