Wayne H. Bartron Sr.

Wayne Howard Bartron, Sr. age 79, passed away peacefully October 30, 2026, at Accent Care in Wilmington Hospital. He was a graduate of both Brandywine High School and the University of Delaware. He worked over the years for the DuPont Company (in both Tax/Finance and Systems Administration) and Weichert, ReMax, and Berkshire Hathaway Realtors.

Loving spouse, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his son Wayne H. Bartron II, his daughter Shannon M. Shaffer and her husband Stephen, and his grandchildren Brendan K. Bartron and Charlotte A. Shaffer all of Wilmington, DE. He is also survived by his brother Jeff Bartron and his partner Diane Petoskey of Thomasville, GA. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years Lois R. Bartron, his parents Lester and C. Audrey Bartron, and his siblings, Bruce, Suzanne, and David.
