Ulf Demberger

Ulf Demberger, age 64, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away quietly from Alzheimer’s on November 23, 2021.

Ulf was born in Pirmasens, Germany. He spent his childhood and young adult days in nearby Ruppertsweiler and Zweibrüken. He moved to America in 1985 with his wife, where they raised two children in a close and caring family, and enjoyed many years with their beloved canine companion, Fritz. Ulf became a grandfather in August of 2021.

Ulf spent his career in sales, working his way up to become president of a small leather business. Though he always worked hard, he probably never felt like he worked a day in his life, because he loved what he did. Combining work and fun, he turned all of his clients into friends, and all of his friends into family. His business adventures helped him see the world and maintain an international network.

Ulf was the fun ambassador. A talented storyteller with the wittiest remarks, he loved entertaining. His laugh was probably his most well-known characteristic, audible from any room in the house. It would be hard to identify a more uplifting personality. Even saying hello was an experience. New friends and old pals were greeted with a firm and enthusiastic handshake. Though meeting people was his strength, sweets were his weakness.

In his free time, Ulf enjoyed gardening, bike rides, and constructing model train sets. On the occasions he was not with his family or friends, he could be found riding around the backroads of Wilmington on his bright red Vespa scooter.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 2nd. Please contact his wife, Sigrid, or his daughter, Sandra, for details.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Mr. Ulf Demberger.

Habe es leider erst heute erfahren!! - Tut mir sehr leid!! - At the age of about 15 or 16 years, we had parties in „Uwes Keller“ in Ruppertsweiler! Ulf brought us his fantastic stereo equipment, so we had a great time with music, and dancing with the girls! I will always remember this, - and his very friendly mother! - Rest in peace, Ulf.
