Terry Lynn Ray

Terry Lynn Ray (Richardson), 61, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on July 13, 2019 peacefully in her home.

Terry was born in 1957 to Marie J. Richardson and Richard C. Richardson. After graduating from Delcastle Technical High School in 1976, she landed her first job at Phillip’s Mushroom Farms before working at General Motors for over 25 years. More recently, she worked as a home caregiver, which she enjoyed a great deal.

She was married to Ronald Ray. They have three daughters and one grandson; Kimberly Ray, husband Rick Crumb and son Lucas Crumb, Tiffany Lynn and husband Kevin Lynn, and Erin Rankin and husband Ben Rankin.

Terry was predeceased by her father Richard C. Richardson. She is survived by her mother Marie J. Richardson, her older brother Randy D. Richardson, younger brother Ricky W, Richardson, and younger sister Sheila K. Reeves.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother, Terry also loved playing music, fishing, cooking, bowling, and West Virginia . Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.

Visitation will be on Wednesday July 17, 2019 from 6:00-7:00PM at Chandler Funeral Home, 7230 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE

With quiet grace and dignity you reached across that vast space where sat distant and alone. Then you drew me into your families arms. Everyone moved over some to make room for me, and suddenly I belonged! You never tried to take her place, but you humbly stood beside her and the spotlight became big enough for two.
