Terrence James Conway

With God’s grace and courage, Terry wrote the last chapter of this life’s story on October 18, 2018 after a year long battle with cancer. Born in 1950 to the late Paul and Mary Conway, Terry graduated from the University of South Florida and spent his career in the communications field. A talented story teller, his work appeared in national and regional magazines, prominent daily newspapers, and websites. After living in Wilmington for twenty years, Terry and his wife Jane (McCuen) moved to southern Melbourne Beach, Florida where he continued to work for local media outlets.

Terry leaves behind his beloved wife Jane, his sister Susan Spadaccini (Tony), loving nieces, nephews and their families. He is also survived by his friend and cousin Tom Conway (Dorothy), Paul Conway (Rosemary), Trish Phelan, and their families. He was pre-deceased by his brother Dennis in 1983.

A service will be held in the Chapel at Christ Church Christiana Hundred, 505 E. Buck Road, Greenville, DE 19807 on Tuesday October 23, 2018 at 10:00 am with interment to be held immediately following in the Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, Terry asks that donations be made in his memory to the Outreach Program at Christ Church Christiana Hundred, or Canine Partners for Life, P.O. Box 170, Cochranville, PA 19330.

Dearest Jane, I was stunned and so saddened to read of Terry's passing. I regret the last couple years we've been out of touch but know I cherish the many, many years of happy times we all had together. You two were a beautiful couple, I admired your easy hospitality and kindness to so many great friends. I know he will keep watch over you from the writer's desk in heaven. Lots of love, Van xo

Jane I am sure it was so difficult to make that call to me but I am so glad you did. I always loved Terry's writing. I am happy that I was able to publish it and that writing it was a pleasure for him. I will include a note about his passing in the December issue of East Coast Equestrian. I have thought about him many times and was hoping for a better outcome. Thank you again for calling.
