Sovajra Nashay Pugh, age 41, of Wilmington, Delaware, formerly of Utica, New York, passed away on November 5, 2023 at Accent Care Hospice in Wilmington Hospital, Delaware.
She attended Charlotte Middle School and East High School in Rochester, New York. Sovajra was a dedicated worker for Walmart in New Castle, Delaware having worked as a Customer Associate and a Manager during her 19 years of service to the company. She was very knowledgeable of the job and was admired and loved by her coworkers and customers alike. Sovajra always greeted them with a welcoming attitude and a smile no matter what the day.
Though she was not a member, Sovajra enjoyed attending Seeds of Greatness Church with her family.
She was predeceased by her sister Danielle Colvin of Galveston, SC, grandmother Ellen Pugh of Utica, grandfather Warren Floyd Sr. of Philadelphia and aunt Juanita Moore of California.
Sovajra is survived by her husband Jerome Hill, son Jaxon Hill (Jerome), daughter Zuraiya Sammy (Roland), stepchildren Jerome Hill Jr., Marquis Hill and Ashley Hill, all of Wilmington; mother Hazel Pugh and brothers D’Andre Pugh and Dijuan Chandler, all of Rochester; aunt MaryAnne Pugh and uncle James Pugh Jr., both of Utica; cousin LaDonna Pugh of Rochester; father Warren Floyd, uncle John Floyd and cousin Jahara Pickett, all of Philadelphia; aunts Elissa Taylor of California and Loneiyce Washington of Florida; cousins Onjonet and Daryl Torry of Maryland and Melaya and Brandon Thomas of Chicago; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
