Shirishchandra D. Bhavsar

Shirishchandra Dalsukhbhai Bhavsar, age 83 of Newark, Delaware, formerly of Borsad, India, died on February 22, 2025. He peacefully passed away and was surrounded by his loving family.

Shirishchandra attended University in Ahmedabad, he obtained an MCOMM Master’s Degree in Finance and Commerce, and also pursued a Law Degree. Post-graduation, he began working at The ONGC (Oil Natural Gas Commission) in November of 1968, and worked his way up the corporate ladder to becoming a Director in Accounting & Financial Deputy Manager. After 31 years of service and contribution, He retired in March of 1999.

In his recreational time, Shirishchandra loved playing and watching Cricket. Listening to music, going to the Movies to watch the latest Bollywood Film, Traveling all across India, and enjoyed keeping up with current events and international politics.

Shirishchandra’s largest accomplishment and love was his family. Shirishchandra married his beloved wife Sushila in 1964. Together they had two children, Sonia Mehta and Samir Bhavsar. He was also a proud grandfather of four to Shivani Bhavsar, Shefali Mehta, Saloni Bhavsar, and Saumya Bhavsar. His family was his greatest joy and he cherished every moment spent with them. Shirishchandra is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all that knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 10 AM at Chandler Funeral Home at 7230 Lancaster Pike Hockessin, Delaware 19707.
