Sandra M. Snider

Sandra M. Snider, aged 85, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Sunrise Senior Living.

Sandra attended P.S. duPont High School and graduated as a member of the class of 1957. Following graduation, she worked as a telephone operator until starting a family.

Later in her working years, Sandra began at Yorklyn Elementary school as the librarian, and then moved on and became the manager of the Goodwill on Main Street in Newark, DE. She eventually moved again working as an Administrative Assistant for the Superior Court of Delaware, a position she held for many years before retiring.

Sandra is predeceased by her loving husband Robert R. Snider Sr., her sisters Roberta Prein and Sheila Bumgarner, and her son-in-law Daniel Cunningham.

She is survived by her daughters Kimberly (Michael) Pierson of Dover, DE and Tracy Cunningham of Wilmington, DE, her son Robert R. Snider Jr. of New Castle, DE, her four grandsons, including Robert Snider of Seaford, DE, Jeffery Pierson of Mt. Joy, PA, David Cunningham of Wilmington, DE and Daniel Cunningham of Wilmington, DE, as well as great-grandson Carter Pierson. Sandra is also survived by her sister Susan Doherty of Greenville, DE.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 6 at 11:30 am at Chandler Funeral Home at 2506 Concord Pike Wilmington, DE. A visitation will begin at 10:30 am. Burial will be private.
