Sandra M. Esch

Sandra M. Esch of Wilmington, Delaware, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, at the age of 86.

Sandra was the beloved daughter of Alberta and Jack Matlock and sister to Jan Marie Jackson, all of whom preceded her in death.

Sandra was the devoted wife of Fred Henry Esch, who preceded her in death in December 2000. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to enduring love and unwavering support for one another through life’s journey.

Sandra’s generous and warm spirit touched everyone she encountered. She possessed a remarkable gift for friendship, creating a chosen family of devoted friends who meant the world to her. Her circle included Barbara Siegelman, Mary Feldman, and Marie Pierse, along with many other dear friends with whom she was blessed to share her life.

Her legacy is one of love, loyalty, and friendship, reflected in the lives she touched with her compassionate and caring heart.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Delaware Hospice and the Nursing staff at Shipley Living for the excellent care.

She leaves behind her niece and namesake, Cassandra Ann Jackson, who will treasure the memories they shared together.

My Dearest Casey When the inevitable happened, I was deeply saddened of your dear aunt’s passing. I can only imagine the depth of your grief, having been such a constant, loving presence in her life. You took care of her with such tenderness and dignity—your devotion was a beautiful reflection of your character and the bond you both shared. She surely was blessed to have a niece like you. I hope you find comfort in knowing that your care brought her peace and companionship in her final days. That love does not go unnoticed, and it will continue to live on in the hearts of those who witnessed it. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. If there is anything I can do to support you, I am here. Hope you know that I am a friend too! God Bless Jeena
