Sandra J. White

Sandra J. White, age 82, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2020, surrounded by family. She resided in Wilmington, Delaware.
Sandy grew up in Historic Greenwich Township, New Jersey, and then moved to Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Catasauqua High School in 1956 and Beaver College (Now Arcadia University) in 1960. She moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where she worked for the Department of Education, married, and had her daughter Pamela. Several years later she returned to Greenwich and began her career in Social Services for the State of New Jersey. She retired in 2003 and moved to Wilmington to be near family.
Sandy was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, Delaware, where she served as a Deacon. She loved animals, reading (especially cook books), baking, theater, volunteering with her church and in her local community, and spending time with her grandson. She will be lovingly remembered by friends and family for her kind and caring nature and positive outlook on life.
She is survived by daughter Pamela White and wife Kristina Busick of Wilmington, Delaware, grandson Reuben Busick-White, brother David Schwartz and wife Sharon of Glenwood, Maryland, and cousin Pamela Foraker of Dover, Delaware.
Interment will be private, and a celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church at a later date once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Memorial contributions may be sent to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1502 West 13th Street, Wilmington, DE 19806.

Pam, I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I was blessed to have met Sandy through WPC and enjoyed getting to know her through occasional dinners and coffee over the past several years. She had a wonderful smile and positive attitude...always a joy to be around. I know she loved you and Reuben very much and pray that you will find some peace and comfort knowing that she will be missed by many. Blessings, Karen Beer
