Samuel W. Campbell, Jr.

Samuel Wilson Campbell Jr.,  age 72, passed away peacefully May 10, 2020 surrounded by his family.  He was born June 28, 1947 in Wilmington, Delaware to parents Samuel and Ruth Campbell.  Sam graduated from John Dickinson High School and received his degree from Spring Garden College in Philadelphia.

Well known and respected in both his career field (water/wastewater) and in his church community, Sam served as a role model for all who knew him.  He loved to travel in his RV, spending winters in his “happy place”; Gulfport, Mississippi.  He treasured the friendships he made there and was passionate about supporting the Gulfport community, especially after Hurricane Katrina.

Sam was a man of faith and was an active member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Landenburg, PA and First Prebyterian Church of Gulfport, MS.  A loving father and grandfather, Sam cherished time with his family and enjoyed watching his grandchildren perform on stage and various athletic fields.  He will be greatly missed by his children: Samuel (Chip) Campbell and wife Victoria, Scott Campbell and wife Laurie and Robert Campbell and wife Heidi as well as his grandchildren Chloe, Caelin, James, Jude, Elizabeth and Tyler.  Sam was predeceased by his brother John Campbell and his parents Samuel and Ruth Campbell.
