Norman Edward Hughes, 79 of Landenberg, Pennsylvania, died on April 18, 2018.
He was a graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Norman worked for Hercules, retiring in 1992. He started his own business, Good Hope Hardwoods, Inc. in 1992. He was a member of the American Poultry Association.
He is predeceased by his son, David B. Hughes. Survivors include his wife, Dolores Keenan Hughes, daughters Audrey Hughes Kral and Karen Hughes Nishimura, daughter-in-law Gail Wimmer Hughes, and three grandchildren Meg, Gemma and Sean.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 on Monday April 23, 2018 at Chandler Funeral Home, 7230 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin where friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804.
