Nancy Cage

Nancy Cage, age 84, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Nancy was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Frederick Cage and Dorothy Landis Cage. She grew up in Chester Springs, PA. and was a 1960 graduate of Downingtown High School in Downingtown, PA.

Nancy was an administrative assistant for British Petroleum and later Christiana Hospital in Delaware. Upon her retirement, she worked part time at Jo-Ann’s Fabrics and Home Depot in Claymont, DE.

Nancy was an avid crafter and sewist and shared her talents with her grandchildren. She loved her Phillies and could talk about every player on the team. Although her passing was unexpected, her memories will live on through her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters Robin Jefferis of Phoenixville, PA and Lisa Thorp of Lewes, DE, her grandchildren; Steven Thorp (Christopher Hennessey) of Lansdowne, PA, and Shannon Thorp (Michael Coffen) and her great-granddaughter Zoey Thorp all of Seaford, DE, and her fur babies; Dottie, Toes and Perry.

Services will be private and held at a later date.
