Margaret M. Mathewson

Margaret M. Mathewson, age 99, of Hockessin, DE, passed away on November 7, 2017.

Born in Glasgow DE in 1918, she was the daughter of the late Roland Biddle and Anne Belle McMullen. She received her degree from Goldey-Beacom College and had retired from the DuPont Company as an Executive Secretary after 41 years of service.

Margaret was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Elsmere. She was an active parishioner. She loved to play the piano. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family at their beach home in Rehoboth. Margaret and her husband Frank(Tip) loved to travel, they specially loved the trips they took to Ireland and Hawaii.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Brigadier General Frank L. Mathewson, Jr., son David and grandson Brian. She is survived by her grandsons Jeffrey, Christopher and Andrew; great grandchildren Gabriel and Valantra; and nephew Tom (Malissa) and family.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff from Seasons Hospice for the exceptional care they took with Margaret in her final days.
