Lynn Marie Ross

Lynn Marie (Barrentine) Ross, age 77, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Hilton Head, SC and Oahu, HI, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

In her youth, Lynn attended Brandywine High School, graduating as a member of the class of 1964. She went on to attend the University of Delaware.
Throughout her life, Lynn primarily worked for the Conrail Railroad as a Revenue Protection Analyst. She also worked for the Wilmington Housing Authority and was a member of the Basic Christian Community of Hawaii.

Lynn was a spunky woman of extraordinary intelligence who was the life of the party. She was gifted with a brilliant mind and loved reading books. She had a unique ability to befriend strangers and made friends everywhere she went. Her absence leaves a void that will be felt by many.

Lynn is survived by her partner of 23 years, Mary Humanick, her daughter Jaimee Min (Ken), and her granddaughters Leah Mayfield of Honolulu, HI and Lauryn Min, of Wilmington, DE. She is also survived by her sister Pam Barrentine Aqui (Michael) of Naalehu, HI.

Funeral Services

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday February 15th at 11:00am at St. Mary Magdalen Roman Catholic Church, 7 Sharpley Road, Wilmington, DE 19803. Friends may call upon the family beginning at 10:00am. Interment will be at Lower Brandywine Cemetery.
