Louis B. McNatt Jr.

Louis B. McNatt Jr., formerly of Weldin Road, Wilmington, Delaware and Hallandale Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on March 18th, 2024, at 3:18 AM at his beloved farm in Townsend, DE. Louis Jr. was the son of the late Rebecca Sapp McNatt and Louis Bennett McNatt Sr. of Townsend, DE. He was predeceased by his brother Paul E. McNatt and his wife Margaret Reynolds McNatt, of Townsend, DE. Additionally, he was predeceased by baby sister, Louisa McNatt of Golts, MD.

Louis Jr. graduated in 1950 from Middletown High School and received an Associate’s Degree in Agriculture from the University of Delaware. L.B.McNatt Real Estate served the greater Wilmington area and nearby Pennsylvania area for nearly forty-five years becoming somewhat of a legend among realtors in the New Castle County area for his success and unquenchable work ethic. Vanguard Corporation farmed nearly 400 acres in soy, corn, and wheat up until 2021 when Lou retired from farming at age 89. He was happiest when he was working the soil. Lou was a co-founder of the well-known Silver Rose Professional Dance Team which taught and performed throughout the tri-state area for nearly 10 years.

Lou is survived by his wife, June Drummond McNatt of 65 years of marriage and their son, Louis Bennett McNatt III, Esq. of Townsend, DE. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Ann Outten (John) of Townsend, DE, his brother, Gerald McNatt (Susan) of Millsboro, DE, and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and loving dance friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation to Bayada Hospice, 4250 Lancaster Pike, Ste 308, Wilmington, DE 19805
