Lois G. Hausler

Lois G. Hausler, age 87,of Wilmington passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2018. 

She was born in Scranton, PA, graduated high school in Roanoke, VA, and had two children, Stuart and Carol, with her first husband, Robert Barrowcliff.

Lois was a gifted commercial and residential interior designer and she pursued this passion throughout her life. She established and ran her own interior design business in Wilmington, DE, Key West, and Naples, FL. Lois loved to entertain and was particularly talented with floral design. Her love of flowers extended to the beautiful patio flowers and plants she grew while living in Florida. Lois and her family traveled the world during Bob’s career move to Lahore, Pakistan. She continued her love of entertaining and design during the years she lived in Pakistan.  In 2012 in Naples, she married William Hausler. Lois was an active member of the Naples Rotary club and enjoyed the many friendships she made through the club.

Lois is survived by her daughter Carol Giampietro (Michael), son Stuart Barrowcliff (Regina), her grandchildren Alexander Barrowcliff, Gabriela Barrowcliff, Erin Giampietro, Sean Giampietro, great grandson AJ Barrowcliff. She is also survived by her sister Leah Saul, sister-in-law Judy Gillette, nephews Steve Plewes and Matthew Plewes and niece (Lois) Clark Gillette.

Lois is predeceased by her father Elmer William Gillette, her mother Myrtle Cahill Gillette, and her brother Leland Ira Gillette.

A Celebration Memorial service will be held from the Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 2 pm with visitation from 1:30 – 2pm.
