On behalf of the larger Unity Church family I offer condolences for the loss of John Nothstein. As someone fortunate enough to know him briefly as pastor of Zion and then Unity, I am sadden by his loss for the sake of our community. John was a man of God, who gave generously of himself, his time and resources. Also, he had a great sense of humor and we all need as much of that as we can get in the church. We say thanks to John's family for sharing him with us and we send you are prayers of comfort. Er war so ein netter Mann, und wir werden ihn sehr vermissen (I think I’m saying, He was such a lovely man and we will miss him dearly.)

I always enjoyed the brief conversations my Dad, Harold Talley, and I had with John before the Sunday services. When my Dad was no longer able to attend worship services due to his advanced Alzheimer's disease John always asked me how he was doing. I miss John and those conversations. He was a kind and caring man.
