Jeffrey Leonard Buckwalter passed away suddenly on October 5, 2021 due to medical complications. Jeff was a graduate of Henry C. Conrad High School and attended the University of Delaware. Over the years, he worked and owned businesses in hospitality and sales. In retirement, he enjoyed playing pool with his buddies at the Newark Senior Center, cooking, binging on TV series, and helping his son David’s food truck business. His pride and joy were his sons. He was a frequent visitor to the Mary Campbell Center, his son Philip’s residence.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Janice; sons David and Philip; mother, Doris Twaddell Buckwalter; sisters, Gail Hagan (J. Richard) and Deidre Osman (Steve); and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Mill Creek, 579 Polly Drummond Hill Rd., Newark, DE 19711.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jeff’s memory to the Mary Campbell Center at 4641 Weldin Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803.
