Jean T. Taylor

Jean T. Taylor (nee Tripp), of West Grove, PA died on January 27, 2019.

Jean was born in Baltimore, MD to the late H. Herman Tripp and Marie Katherine Tripp (nee Frederick). She married George F. Taylor in 1951 and moved to Newark, DE where she proudly raised four children.

Jean was passionate about her pastoral care work with the Dept. of Pastoral Care at the Wilmington Medical Center and as a Parish Visitor for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Newark, DE. In later years, she was a member of the Pastoral Care Dept. at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD and Jennersville Regional Hospital in West Grove, PA.

In her retirement, Jean enjoyed many years of square dancing, traveling and gardening. She sang in church choirs all her life getting her start in the Peabody Choir in Baltimore. She was a member of the freshman class at Jenner’s Pond and continued her pastoral visiting at Luther House, Neighborhood Hospice and Willow Tree Hospice.

Jean was predeceased by her husband George and her daughter Linda Larkin. She is survived by her daughters Carol Scott and Nancy Watrud and husband Jim. Her son David Taylor and wife Lauri, grandchildren Dan Nicholson, Andrew and Kaitlin Watrud and Morgan and Alexandra Taylor and great grandchildren Seth and Luke Crawford and Dax Nicholson.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Jenner’s Pond, Home Instead Senior Care and Willow Tree Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.

Funeral Services

A memorial service is at 11:00 am on February 23, 2019 at the Alison building at Jenner’s Pond Retirement Community. Please join the family for a luncheon immediately following.
