James “Jimmi Fix” Lockwood

James “Jimmi Fix” Lockwood, aka Mr. Budweiser, age 58, of New Castle, DE, formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed way on January 3, 2019. God called and he needed his bathroom remodeled and, in typical Jimmy fashion, he went with him.

He was proud to serve his country in the United States Navy.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marie (Odom) Lockwood (believe it or not, they are still married); his daughter, Kira; and his furry companion, Cody.

Words cannot express the way that Jimmy will be missed by all of us. He was such a bright light in this world He will be greatly missed.

I will miss you so much Uncle Jim. You were the best ~ all the times you told Kira and I to get out there and have fun. You were the fun uncle, always taking us places. I’m so thankful for all the memories I have of times spent with you. I’ll never forget when you saved me from drowning in Mom Mom's pool that summer when I was 4. Don’t worry about Kira, I’ll make sure she gets out and has as much fun as you have always wanted us to Rest peacefully until we meet again.

This world is a little darker without you in it. I loved visiting with you while you were putting in my door. All the stories you told me of your growing up and traveling all over the U.S. with your family. You would call or text me just to see how I was doing. Now you can rest in the arms of Jesus. God bless.

Thank you to all that attended my brother's service. My brother was an inspirational, generous and loving man. Not once did he complain about his illness. He remained strong and courageous to the very end. During our few last conversations, my brother told me he is no quitter. Well now, how very true were those words spoken. This terrible disease, cancer, took my brother's life, but it not take his heart, which held enteral love he had for all of us, his mind, courage and a willingness to fight. I am deeply saddened by my brother's passing and my life is forever changed, but I will hold onto the memories and the bond we shared. Philippians 3:20-21 "But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself".

Jimmy was a rare person. He had ethics and moral compass I rarely see these days. He was a great guy. I had a studio accross from him a few years ago before moving to Virginia and he'd do anything to help. This guy could fix anything. I just found out today and am sad. I'll miss him. Bill
