Helen Tacchi

Helen Tacchi, age 68, Wilmington, DE. passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at Christiana Hospital.

She was a teacher at Holy Ghost School, also worked at Conchester Lanes before retiring from Greeley & Nista Orthodontics. She was an avid bowler, and also loved owls and wolves.  Helen was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, and most importantly a grandmother. Over the years, she swam with dolphins, played with beluga whales, flew in a hot air balloon and walked the south rim of the Grand Canyon.  For 30 years Helen enjoyed her yearly trips to Myrtle Beach with her ever growing family. Her most treasured times were spent traveling locally to watch her grandchildren participate in different sporting activities. Helen could be seen videoing every exciting event, recording scores in her phone and taking pictures from all angles. Her attendance was reliable and anticipated. She was truly her grandchildren’s number 1 fan!

Helen was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Sophie Kuchera, and her brother Micheal Kuchera. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Ron; her children Danielle McLane (Mickey), Chris Tacchi Sr (Jennie); her six grandchildren Jimmy & Sofia McLane, Ella, CJ, Olivia & Ben Tacchi; her brother Russ Kuchera (Helen); her sister in law Linda Kuchera; also many nieces & nephews, as well as great nieces & nephews.

Helen you were always a sweet woman, very intelligent and loved your children and your husband very much. I remember having you join all us girls for crabs at Timothy’s and I remember Iggy going after your antenna on your cell phone and chewing on it. I enjoyed working with you at the lanes, but I have to say the day we went to the Casino in AC and I won and you didn’t you were not a happy camper. We always had a good time together. Rest In Peace my friend.

It was such pleasure working with Helen, even if it was for just a short time at GNO. I learned many things from her and we enjoyed many laughs which made the workday enjoyable! She will be greatly missed.
