Gretchen B. Mutschler VanBomel, age 64, of Wilmington, DE and formerly of Dexters Corner, Smyrna, DE, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at the Wilmington Hospital.
Gretchen was born in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late William F. and Betty Bollinger Mutschler. She graduated from Mount Aviat Academy, Smyrna High School, Wesley College and the Ringling College of Art and Design.
Gretchen originally started working in clerical positions and then became a secretary and receptionist. She later became a claims representative for the Delaware Department of Labor. She was a member of the New Castle Jaycees and the Ladies Auxillary of the Hall-Burke VFW, Post 5447.
Gretchen is survived by her husband of 20 years, Peter A. VanBomel, and her cousins; Dave and Sue Reed and Bill Reed.
