Glenn A. Suter

Glenn A. Suter passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 surrounded by loved ones.

Glenn was born and raised in Chester, PA. After graduating from high school, Glenn joined the United States Air Force. After serving, he became a Chester firefighter for almost 18 years, something that he took great pride being part of. Glenn was an active member of the American Legion Post 926 in Aston, PA.

You always knew when Glenn was around. He had a larger than life personality that kept everyone on their toes and always laughing. Glenn was always known to be loud, opinionated, and always right. He also had the biggest heart, always willing to help anyone with anything. Glenn was an avid sports lover. He enjoyed watching Penn State football as well as the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers (especially when they were winning). In the summer time, he enjoyed going to the beach, fishing, and taking his boat out. He also enjoyed playing pool, darts, golf, and hosting card games and Fantasy Football Drafts at his house. Glenn especially loved spending quality time with his four-legged best buddies, Luke, Cali, and Storm.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 15 years, Nancy; his stepsons, Nick (Ashley) Tusio and Joe (Jessica) Tusio; two granddaughters, Adalynn and Riley (expected late spring); three sisters, Mary, Michelle, and Brenda (Greg); one nephew and eight nieces. He is predeceased by his parents, William and Eleanore; brother, Bill; brother in laws, Jack and Kent; and nephew, Tom.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wilmington Hospital for their love, compassion, and support towards Glenn during his time there.

A visitation will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM, followed by a service at 12 PM on Monday, April 27th at Chandler Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2506 Concord Pike Wilmington, DE 19803. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made to the American Kidney Fund.

Hey buddy you can rest in peace now. This is a true story Glen ask me to be his best man and I told him your probably better off with someone else cause I have no money and suck at getting gatherings together and have trouble speaking in front of large groups. He said with his stern voice I DONT CARE ABOUT ALL THAT SHIT . We known each other for many years and your my friend and I want you to be my best man, we get to the best man speech and I total bomb the speech. Then at the reception I kept saying man sorry about the speech and he told me to put it behind me because the most important thing is that you were by my side on my important day. That's the kind of heart he had! Love you brother and always remember West End Forever!

Another great friend and brother gone too soon. Very few could be as loud, obnoxious, and right... when it came time to set a guy straight at work, voice an opinion, bust some balls, or tell someone to get lost... but Glenn sure could! You knew Glenn was in the firehouse almost immediately. I had the great opportunity to work with him for a few years and whether it was on the job or off, he always was larger than life. We went through some great times and some really sad times, and his was one of those voices that rang out for sure. He never was one to shy away from letting you know how he felt about something, and was always one of the first guys in to get whatever job needed to be done taken care of. Rest easy buddy, I'll see you on the other side.

Glen, was a neighbor but a really good friend. He always landed helping hand to me and my wife. Countless times hanging out with him at Fantasy Football, Flyers games, and of course the famous car trip to Canton, Ohio to the Football Hall of Fame. He helped our community. He was a good man with a good heart. Love ❤️ you all.
