George F. Broske

George F. Broske, age 74, of Newark, DE, formerly of Mount Joy, PA, passed away on October 14th at Churchman Village.

George graduated from Donegal High School in 1966. He attended undergrad at the University of Delaware, graduating in 1970, before graduating from Indiana University in 1973 with a Master’s degree. He spent fifteen years working as an opera coach at Stattstheater in Augsburg, Germany accompanying ballet rehearsal and performances.

George is survived by his wife of twenty seven years Jan Gardner Broske. They always enjoyed singing together in choirs and performing the anthems and hymns that George composed.

Funeral Services

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday October 29, 2022 at Grace Methodist Church, 900 North Washington Street, Wilmington where friends and family may visit from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Interment will be private.

Tributes may be in the form of contributions to the University of Delaware Women’s Volleyball Team, c/o University of Delaware Development & Alumni Relations, 83 E. Main Street, 3rd Floor, Newark, DE 19716; OR Music at Grace, c/o Grace Church, 900 N Washington St., Wilmington, DE 19801.
