Frederick “Freddie” J. Kurz, age 37, of Wilmington, DE, and formerly of Aston, PA, passed away suddenly on June 21, 2022.
He graduated from Newark High School and had completed several years of study in elementary education at Temple University and Delaware Technical Community College.
He was a First-Class Sub-station electrician at Delmarva Power at the time of his passing. He had many friends who loved him and shared his love of skateboarding, snowboarding, and power lifting. He held the 2021 PA record for deadlifting. A day never passed without him pushing the limits at his gym. He was a friend to many within and outside the recovery community. He channeled some of his energies into playing the guitar, writing songs. Riding his motorcycle gave him a sense of freedom. Although he was not religious, he believed in a higher power guiding him. Freddie loved to read and had a subtle sense of humor and quick wit. He loved many dogs owned by others.
He is survived by his parents: Frederick and Jane Kurz; his sister: Nicole Kurz-McDowell (John ), his brother: Francis Kurz, (Corey), two nieces: Clare and Madeline, and two nephews: Ian and Colin. He is loved and will be missed dearly.
