Fiorine Mastrippolito, affectionately known as “Dukie” or “Flo”, age 82, died suddenly on November 11, 2018. She was born in1936 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Timogenito and Ersillia (Antonini) Buonamici.
She attended Conrad High School, Goldey Beacom College, and enjoyed being a loving mother and homemaker.
Dukie appreciated the simpler things in life like sharing meals with family and friends. She adored spending time with others and her willingness to laugh and sense of humor made even a short visit with her enjoyable and memorable. She liked reminiscing about her high school years and sharing stories with lessons or reciting old adages. She would often say how proud she was of her sons and grandchildren and recount her many blessings. Her sense of humor and humility often lead to laughter in even quick conversations. Dukie cherished time with her family and felt blessed to have had so much time being with the ones she loved.
She is survived by her sons Fred (Janice) and Lou (Karen) Mastrippolito and was a lovable grandmother to Amanda, Thomas, and Alayna. She is also survived by her sister Eileen DiFelice. She was predeceased by her siblings Tim “Sonny”, Violet, and Richard Buonamici.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 am on Friday November 16, 2018 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:30 am. Entombment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.
