Grandmom was the greatest person that I admire deeply. She added cheerfulness to every room she was in - always making me and everyone in the room laugh. Her witty and sharp sense of humor remained through her final days; I am so grateful to have so many memories laughing with her. Grandmom deeply cared for her family and I hope to be as kind as her when I grow up. One of my favorite memories, though there are so many, is of our family trip to Michigan two years ago. I think back to our family card games at Gary and Becky’s kitchen table where she was surrounded by so many of us that love her, laughing and having fun, and it warms my heart. She made a great impact on so many lives because of her wisdom, devotion and kind heart - including mine ❤️. Love you forever, Grandmom.

Evelyn was such a kind and caring soul. No matter how much time had passed between meetings, she always remembered the latest goings-on in everyone’s life and asked after family, friends and pets like they were her own! She raised a family of incredible humans, and we are all better for knowing her 🩷

I hope your happy memories with your mother bring you solace. Mrs. Conlon was always kind, helpful and happy as a lunchroom mom at IHM.

Whenever our paths crossed at family gatherings Evelyn and I would find time to chat. We talked about the lives and doings of our children and grandchildren; we enjoyed sharing the lastest events It was always a pleasant exchange, and Evelyn might add a bit of gossip with a smile. Such a lovely and gentle lady.

My sincere condolences to the Conlon Family on the loss of their dear Mother. I knew Mr. & Mrs. Conlon from Easterseals. I used to tell them that they both reminded me of my own parents. I believe we reunite with our loved ones in heaven and I am positive she is back with her true love!

    Anne Conlon writes,
Every Christmas, when we were little, my sweet Aunt Evelyn sent a craft to my sister and me. We’d spend our school break huddled at the table, working on whatever project she’d chosen, bejeweled bracelets, macramé necklaces, and proudly wear them on the first day back to school. My favorite was a suede purse stitched up the sides with thick yarn. I carried that purse with pride and a little of her love. Aunt Evelyn had a gift for making each of us feel seen, remembered, and loved.
