Eric Barnett

Eric Barnett, age 55, of New Castle, passed away on Friday December 28, 2018.

Eric was born, in Wilmington, DE. He attended Berklee College of Music and then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree from NYU.

Eric had a passion for music and loved playing the guitar. He was in several local bands throughout the years. He also enjoyed working on the grounds at Frightland in Middletown, DE, until 2014.

Eric is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Penny Barnett. He is survived by his daughter Evelyn, who meant the world to him, and her mother Alicia; his brother David, sister-in-law Robin, and nephews David, Ben, and James. He is also survived by his fianceé Melissa Moore and her daughters who he treated like his own, Karlee and Jaimee Brousseau, and grandson Damian.

Eric requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the ASPCA.

Funeral Services

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday January 4, 2019 at Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, from 5:00-6:30PM, with words of remembrance starting at 6:00PM.
