Elizabeth A. (Pinky) Marchlewicz, 94, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mary Ann Clarke, on July 19, 2018 surrounded by her family and caregivers.
Elizabeth was born in Philadelphia to James and Mary Walsh McMackin. She attended Deepwater Grammar School and was a graduate of Penns Grove Regional High School. She worked as a secretary for the DuPont Company.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Leo T. Marchlewicz, her brothers James, Robert, John and Joseph McMackin and sisters Marie McMackin Durham and Margaret McMackin Smith.
She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Davies (Reg) of Hockessin, Mary Ann Clarke of Wilmington, Barbara Leonard (Bill) of Wilmington and Patricia Zielinski of Wilmington, sister Eileen McMackin Mahoney, brother Fr. Thomas P. McMackin and grandchildren Stephen White (Lisa), Mark Skibicki, Jr. (Nikki), Glen Clarke (Ashley), Jeffrey Clarke (Christina), Kimberly and Lisa Leonard and Victoria and Elizabeth Zielinski. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Taylor Boggeman, Kari, Alexandra and Natalie White, Maya, Mason and Wyatt Clarke and Landon Camacho. The family would like to give special thanks to Carpe Vita caregivers, Gail and Kelly and to Delaware Hospice.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 7 Sharpley Road, on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at 11:00 am where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will follow Mass in St. Joseph Cemetery in Woodstown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delaware Hospice, Inc., 16 Polly Drummond Center, 2nd Floor, Newark, DE 19711.
