I worked with Eleanor at the Hockessin Library for several years. She was one of my favorite people. She had a wicked sense of humor, but was also one of our most efficient and hardest workers. She was so much fun to work with. Eleanor also had a big heart and would share crafting ideas with me. She was a great light in our library - always so good with our patrons, and such a wonderful co-worker. I will miss her bright smile and positive attitude.

Last time I saw Eleanor, we sat together at a Hockessin Library Christmas party held at the Back Burner. At a previous Christmas party I picked her gift of green battery candles which I still have. Eleanor was the best. We worked together for many years at Hockessin Library. Everyone loved her. She was always ready with a helping hand to help anyone or everyone. I was shocked to find out about her passing. I didn’t even know she was sick. I remember when she used to bring her mom to the library. They looked like sisters. I will miss Eleanor tremendously. May she RIP.

I was so sorry to hear that both Eleanor and Mike had passed. She was the oldest cousin on my mom's side and I grew up thinking she was smart, pretty and always knew how to act in any situation. She had the boyfriend, how cool was that!! You made the world a better place. Will miss you🥰

So very sorry to hear that Eleanor passed and I offer my condolences to her siblings, the O'Neill brothers and all the grandchildren. I spent many times at the house on Valley Rd sitting at the kitchen table with Eleanor and Mike, reviewing the various redevelopment projects around their home and in Hockessin. Always felt welcomed and enjoyed those visits and spirited conversations. I was just thinking about Eleanor the other day wished Covid didn't make seeing people so difficult, as I would have loved to stop in and have a cup of coffee and chat. She will be missed by so many people and I'm certain she and Mike are smiling down upon you all. My heartfelt condolences to all the family.
