I loved Eleanor SO MUCH! We enjoyed many Bible Studies together at HUMC and I even went to Cokesbury to attend one there with her. She was just so smart, feeling and positive. Her smiles and encouragement warmed my heart too many times to count. I know I would likely have not seen her again, since I've moved to CO, but somehow knowing she's gone just makes things a little darker in my world. I know she wouldn't want that, so I'll hang on to the love she shared and smile that I was blessed to share part of our journeys together. I wish all of you comfort and strength during this rough time. I've seen how much many of you loved her (I know you ALL loved her, but I've only known some of you) so I know this will leave a huge void for a while. I pray the sweet memories of her and the encouraging words you've heard from her fill that void, along with a strong faith in God that she held so close. She questioned well, learned what she could and took the rest on faith. I pray the same for you all, You're in my prayers. In Love, Kymm Hockman

My sincere condolences to Eleanor's loving family. I met Eleanor the very first Sunday I attended HUMC. She touched me deeply with the sweet friendship she offered to a stranger. We became friends and I visited her from time to time at her home. When I lost my husband less than a year ago, she was there for me. She is with the Lord but I will never forget her. Brenda Stivale

eleanor and i shared many good memories: being the wife of graduate school husbands (tight budget) learning motherhood with our first child (Ron and Larry turned out just fine).....joining the baby-sitting co-op in order to work little jobs....celebrating the awesome purchase of our first home...different politics but with understanding... the best memory is how we shared our laughter and tears.....good friends forever.
