Eileen Viscount Herrmann

Eileen Viscount Herrmann passed away peacefully in her home on February 12, 2021. She gave her time and talents, volunteering for a number of Wilmington organizations, including Winterthur, Hagley, Great Stuff- DE Breast Cancer Coalition, Delaware Art Museum and various Coral and Choir Groups.

Eileen enjoyed dancing, singing, piano, reading and had an incredible talent for decorating. She was committed and involved in working in the art of photography alongside her husband Richard.

She is survived by her husband Richard, son Jeffrey Johnston Jr., daughter Lisa Gomez, son-in-law Luis Gomez, granddaughter Natalie Gomez and cousin Nichol Thomson and her family.

The family would appreciate donations to Christiana Care-Palliative Care Practice, or Seasons Hospice rather than flowers or gifts of condolences.

Funeral Services

A Post COVID day of celebration will be scheduled.

Condolences

    Nichol A Thomson writes,
A beautiful person inside and out! Eileen was more a sister than cousin, a sister and best friend who will be with me spiritually until we all meet again in heaven. We shared a lifetime of delightful, memorable experiences, those of which I will forever cherish. I dearly miss you. Love, Nichol

Eileen was a lovely person - we met years ago when we both sang in the Delaware Women's Chorus in what is now the Delaware Music School. We became friends after that, and I was always in admiration of Eileen's grace and beauty and thoughtfulness. Later, we also played Charades as part of an all-women group, based in Wilmington. Eileen will be dearly missed.
