I have so many wonderful memories of my brother and I growing up. I have so much to be thankful for, from teaching me how to roller skate to ice skate and even ride a bike. As I got older, it was learning driving and long talks about boys. In later life, miles kept us apart with not as many visits as I would have liked . Neither miles or time will erase him from my heart. Would love to have had one last hug from my brother and to hear him say Sis one more time. You were the best, I thank you for always being there. Your sister, Ella

My sympathy to the Fredrick family. I remember well "The Mayor" of Centreville. He was a regular at Buckleys Tavern when I worked there many years ago, a character that was loved by one and all. Back in the days of Flossie Chandler and Charlie Simpson, very memorable years. A centreville legend in his own time. RIP Mister Mayor. s JComment: 1531877396

I did not know Pop Pop very long. I knew him through his grandson and my daughter. I had a grandfather, Albert, that reminded me very much of Pop Pop. Big hearted, big in spirit, big smile ... and I could imagine him in his youth scurring about the property fixing things and building the business to what it was when I saw it last at Christmas, 2017. My heart goes out to Marion, Edward II and Charles. I felt warmth from them, for their father, in the two times that we were all together. I saw deep love from his grandson, Eddie, who loved the property and stores that his grandfather built ... as Eddie is a 'tool man' himself ... just tools of a different kind and of a different age. My prayers go out to all the family and I proud that I knew Pop Pop for just a little and that he loved Nora as well. Sincerest condolences Marion, Edward, Charlie and Eddie. Jan

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences go out to the Frederick’s family, on the passing of their most wonderful father, Edward.. or Eddie as I knew him. Having rented my art studio from him for the past 29 years at the Frederick’s Country Center, he was such a warm and generous spirit. So sorry I was unable to attend his service, just learning of his passing. I will miss him dearly.

Edward or “Eddie” as most of us knew him, was such a kind and generous man.. my landlord for the past 29 years who I was so utterly fond of. Sadly I missed his service, as I am just learning of his passing, but he was a great man.. full of spirit, and we will all miss him terribly.

To all the Family: We are so saddened to hear of Ed's passing but know he is now with his beloved Helen. As you know, we spent many years in the upstairs shop at Frederick's and received so many considerations and kindness from your father. We loved when he rode around in his jeep tending to all the issues that came up in the various shops and of course always chatting you up with his opinions on the news of the day. He loved his family, his country and was so good to his friends. He will truly be missed. Rest is peace. God Bless you all. John and Veronica Malchione
