Donald Charles Schuck

Donald Charles Schuck, age 90, passed away early Monday morning, June 1, 2026. Don was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1936 to Cecelia and Norbert Schuck. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle.

On May 11, 1957, Don married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Barbara Fewer, at St. Joan of Arc Church in the Fairview section of Camden, New Jersey. Don and Barbara lived in Fairview for 12 years and had five wonderful children – Debbie, Jim, Mike, Kathy and Donna. They later moved to Somerdale, New Jersey and after 50 years, to Middletown, Delaware.

Don loved Philadelphia sports and was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. He spent many nights playing Poker with his son Jim and he achieved his goal of winning a seat at a National Poker Tournament in Las Vegas. He also enjoyed playing golf with his family.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Cecelia Schuck; his infant daughter Kathleen; a special uncle, Bernard Schuck; his sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Sherwin Rathgeb; and his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and John Deveney.

Don is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Barbara, his children Debbie (Matthew), Jim (Terry), Mike (Katie) and Donna (Tom); his grandchildren Brian (Amber), Christopher (Kris), Christine (Mike), Jimmy (Alison), Stefan (Courtney), Collin (Amanda), Brenna (Jacob) and Tara (Kevin); his great-grandchildren Harper, Jace, Lucas, Lily, and Aspen; and his sister Joan Weist and her husband Leroy Weist.

Funeral Services

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Chandler Funeral Home, 7230 Lancaster Pike Hockessin, DE 19707. Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 11:00 AM.
