Denise “Soula” Tsakiris

Denise “Soula” K. Tsakiris, age 70, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at her home. Denise was born in Kos, Greece but moved to the United States at an early age, graduating from high school in Flushing, New York in 1968.

She was an active member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox church and was a member of the Philoptochos Organization for over 30 years. She regularly enjoyed participating in various church functions and activities. In addition to her church activities, she worked making a home and a life for her husband of 48 years Konstantinos and two sons, Anthony and Mark.

Denise is survived by her husband, Konstantinos A. Tsakiris of Wilmington, DE; her sons Anthony K Tsakiris (Jessica) of Oxford, PA and Mark K. Tsakiris (Elizabeth) of Garnet Valley, PA); and her grandchildren Lily Tsakiris and Konstantinos Tsakiris of Oxford, PA.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 8:00-9:00 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 808 N Broom St. Wilmington, DE 19806. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 9:00 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow at Lombardy Cemetery in Wilmington, DE.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorial donations in Denise’s name may be mailed to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Philoptochos Society at 808 N. Broom St., Wilmington, DE 19806.

    I first met Denise at Brew Ha Ha! In Branmar and we continued getting to know each other, most recently at BHH in Concord Gallery. We never connected outside of our “chance” meetings. I looked forward to our visits. Denise loved her family and friends and I will miss her.
