Claudia M. DeSeta

Claudia Mary DeSeta passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the age of 71, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, to Felicia (Della Rocca) and Edward Joseph DeSeta, Claudia graduated from Alexis I. DuPont High School and Goldey-Beacom College. She dedicated her career as an Administrative Assistant at Edward J. DeSeta Co., Inc.

Claudia is survived by her loving children, Andrew Scott and Francesca DeSeta Quillen, along with their father, Herschel “Buzz” Quillen; her siblings: Bernadette DeSeta Buccini, Edward Baldassarre DeSeta (Wanda), and Rosaria DeSeta Donohoe (Stephen); and her eighteen nieces and nephews: Robert Edward (Elizabeth) Buccini, Christopher Frances (Mati) Buccini, Edward Joseph (Grace) DeSeta II, Patrick John (Kelly) DeSeta, Alexis James (Kate) DeSeta, Stephen Charles (Jenna) Donohoe Jr., Kelly DeSeta Donohoe (Chris) Jurecko, Wesley Edward (Abigail) Donohoe, and Ashley Claire (Stephen) Jenne. She is also survived by twenty cherished great-nieces and great-nephews.

Claudia was a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish, where she formed deep connections within her community. Her maternal father and grandfather were founding members of the parish.

She is preceded in death by her parents; aunts Angela Rose Giamatteo and Louis Olympia Bruno; daughter Jennifer DeSeta Quillen; brother-in-law Donato Robert Buccini; and cousins Paula Bruno Hankel and Bonita Bruno Jodz.

Her warm spirit and kindness will never be forgotten by all who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM ET at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 North DuPont Street, Wilmington, DE 19805. Burial will be private.
