Carlo Anthony Mancini, age 36, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on May 4, 2025. Carlo was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Born and raised in Wilmington, DE, Carlo attended Concord High School and was actively pursuing a career as a Physical Therapy Assistant, driven by a heartfelt desire to help others. He had a natural kindness and empathy that made people feel seen and cared for. It was no surprise to anyone that he chose a path where he could bring healing to those in need.
Carlo had an extraordinary gift for storytelling – he had a way of making people laugh, listen, and feel connected. His stories could fill a room with joy, and his laughter was contagious. He had a strong passion for health and fitness. Whether lifting weights at his home gym or hiking quietly through wooded trails, Carlo found peace in movement and strength in the outdoors.
He is survived by his loving parents James (Jim) and Christine Mancini; his siblings Steven (Allison) and Lauren (Joseph) and his cherished nieces, Amelia and Aubrey. The middle child of three, he shared a deep bond with his older brother Steven and his younger sister Lauren, each relationship uniquely filled with countless memories.
Those who knew Carlo well know he struggled. His life long battle with mental health yielded a rollercoaster of emotions. His passing leaves an unfillable void. We can no longer feel his warmth, laugh together at his stories, and grow together. We must all forever remember his radiant spirit, his kind heart and the joy he brought to our lives.
Relatives and friends are invited to Carlo’s viewing 5:00-7:00PM on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE, and to his Funeral Mass 11:00AM on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 7 Sharpley Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carlo’s memory to a mental health or wellness organization, continuing his legacy of caring for others.
Carlo, your light will never dim in our hearts. You are missed beyond words, and loved beyond measure.
