Brian J. Niebauer

On Wednesday. March 27, 2019, Brian J. Niebauer, a loving husband, father of three children and grandfather of six, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 57.

Brian was born in Fairview, Pennsylvania to Herman and Jane Niebauer.

He attended Salem County Community College and Glassboro State College where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management. He successfully built and managed his own company, Bauer Custom Homes and Renovations, for thirty years. For the last four years, he worked as superintendent for Domus Construction Company.

Other than his family, his joys in life where fishing, hunting golf, volleyball and a glass of Southern Comfort on the rocks while sitting on his deck with his friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Herman and mother Jane. He is survived by his wife Linda and their three children Brian J. Jr. (Vitaliya), Sean M. (Kristen), Jennifer E., six grandchildren, Hope, Ellie, Nicholas, Ryan, Joshua and Evelyn, seven siblings, Daniel (Janice), Genevieve (William), Catherine (Kevin), Mark (Ann), Arthur (Coyote), Phillip (Jeanie) and Coleen (Butch) and many nieces and nephews.

Brian had coworkers who trusted him, friends and family that cared and adored him, brothers and sisters that looked up to him, children who respected him, grandchildren that cherished every moment with him and a wife who treasured him. This man will never be replaced in our hearts. He will be remembered forever in those he cared for and who cared for him. He is now gone but will live on in the things he built, many lessons he taught us, the laughter that filled our hearts and the love and support he has shown to everyone.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 6 pm from Sacred Heart Oratory, 917 N. Madison Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19801. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 4-6 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are being accepted at Ministry of Caring, 115 East 15th Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19801.

    Wayne Grinnell Jr writes,
From the first day I met Brian I could tell from the way he said "hello, nice to meet you". You could just tell this guy was so down to Earth. Had a great sense of humor and ALWAYS said "hey Wayne, how are you?" to me, every time he saw me. (which was every day). My son was born with complications back in November and for every single day before my son came home from the hospital, he took the time to ask me how my baby was doing. You could tell he was a family man and understood what it's like to worry about your children and your job at the same time. I'll never forget him. And, for his family, I not only give my condolences, but I give my respect to such an awesome guy who gave me a chance to work for him. My heart goes out to him and his family. It was a pleasure working for him and meeting him.

I first met Brian on the Village of St. John job site and from the day we first spoke you could instantly tell what kind of man he was. Always in good mood, easy to work with, and would always ask how you were doing. It can be rare to find someone like this and it is truly a tragedy when they are gone. My thoughts go out to him and his family.

Met Brian almost 2 years ago while he was building the old Spring Garden school he hired my company as security guards. I became close with him easy to talk to and just a pleasant man. We talked cars, family and our young crazy day's. After we finished there I remained in touch with Brian, such a great guy I'm in shock still but know he will never be forgotten we made each other laugh quite often. My sincere condolences to his entire family! A great soul will stay with all who knew him, and treasured time spent with him. Rest in peace my friend!

Brian will be greatly missed, he was the kindest and most caring man we had the honor of knowing. He was always the first one there to lend a helping hand. His kindness and generosity and laid back personality will be missed. We met Brian 18 years ago the day we moved into our new home, we were trying to install a new mailbox and pole. Within a minute or 2 we had neighbors coming from every direction to help led by Brian with his wheelbarrow of concrete. Driving into our street will never be the same. Our prayers go out to the family, Linda, we know how deeply Brian loved you, his children and grandchildren. Brian left us way to soon, he will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace Brian and God Bless.

I’ve been in the construction field my entire life and I’ve never met someone like Brian. Always concerned with the well being of his guys and instilled the confidence needed for a comfortable working environment. We shared similar paths in our career and Brian always made me feel useful and productive. I’m a better carpenter for having worked for Brian and I’m grateful for that. May he Rest In Peace
