Barbara Wallace

Barbara Wallace, of Newark, DE, peacefully passed away at home on July 22, 2020 ending her courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Barbara was born to Beatrice and James Clark in Pittsburgh, PA, moving to Delaware when her children were young. She spent many years raising her children and later shared her friendly approach and competent administrative abilities at Delmarva Power, International Reading Association and MBNA.

Pam, Laura & Family, Seems like yesterday when you were our next door neighbor babysitters. Yes, even the memories of Laura driving into your Dad's garage door. Through it all, your Mom was always present to do her very best and support your life experiences. One of the most "bubbly people" we ever had the pleasure of knowing and her attitude was an example for all of us. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers. Terry & Joanne Koston

I was so very sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. We were neighbors for many years and Barbara was very kind to me when my own mother passed away. For the past two years I always enjoyed seeing her when the ladies from the development got together for lunch. Barbara was always so upbeat and fun to be around. Her spirit just shown through and during her treatments she never lost her sense of humor or her hopefulness. She loved her "helicopter" daughters who took such good care of her during her illness. I will miss Barbara. My sincere condolences to the entire family.

We met her in the waters of exercise class. We called ourselves mermaids. She became our head Mermaid 🧜‍♀️. She gave us her spirit of fun loving friendship. We admired her shockingly independent spirit. We saw her strength and benefited from her nurturing soul. We will miss your mermaid spirit. We are grateful to have shared with you.

Please accept my most sincere condolences for the loss of your Mother. Caring and thoughtful cannot begin to describe the kind of person she was. I will always remember the time I had my first car accident as a teenager....she sent me flowers with a card saying “a car can always be replaced, thank God you were not hurt”. That gesture meant so much to me, and it taught me the importance of making others feel special. She always had a way of doing that. Heaven has certainly gained an angel! Rest In Peace
