To the loving family of Barbi, I know this is a terrible loss. I only knew her as a child, but I am a distant cousin because my mother's father was the son of Bella Youngelson and my mother was Bill Youngelson's cousin. As children, Marlene Youngelson Jastrow was a close friend of mine. Then as an adult, we had a drug store in Boonton and I would go visit Marlene and see you children running around that big house. Marlene would bring Barbi and Kathy to the drugstore to visit. I wasn't close to Marlene's sister, Evelyn, until I moved to Florida where we became best friends. I love Kathy and Loren Youngelson Kraut very much. They are shining examples of the closeness shared in your family. Please know that I am thinking of you and my love and prayers go out to all of you.

Siobhan and Erin you guys were like sisters growing up. We spent so much time between our houses and your mom was one of the sweetest people I know. Always welcoming all of us into her home for last minute sleepovers and pool parties. I remember walking to her coffee shop in Milford and getting muffins on our ventures around town, they were the best! I am truly sorry for your loss and my condolences to you and the family. Another sweet soul gone too soon, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Don’t think of me as gone away, my journey’s just begun like the hold so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of me as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how I must be wishing that we could know today how nothing, but our sadness can really pass away. And think of me as living in the hearts of those I’ve touched for nothing loved is ever lost and I was loved so much. Thank you for being part of my journey. You are forever in my heart.

My family and I loved going into If Heaven Had A Flavor whenever we were in Smyrna. Miss Barbi always had a smile to offer and, because we'd get there later in the day, would almost be sold out of her goods [she was a great baker!]. My daughter loved getting a hot chai latte from Miss Barbi. It was her favorite. My prayers are with her family.

I was deeply sad to learn Barbara had passed away. I loved our friendly conversations every time I walked in the coffee shop in Clayton. She was very well versed in so many subject areas and her wisdom was amazing. Barbara’s coffee and gluten free pastry’s were amazing along the special Birthday cakes she made along with Erin’s help. Every time I go past the shop I think about her. Condolences and prayers to the family and especially to Erin and Corey who worked at the shop at times. I enjoyed all their kindness and friendliness that they definitely got from their Mom.
