Barbara Covey (Grubb) Angell

Barbara Covey Angell (Grubb), age 93, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away peacefully on January 10, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 12, 1924 to the late Frank Arnold Grubb and Mildred Tinsman Grubb.

She had been a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church for over 60 years. Barbara enjoyed knitting, reading, listening to her favorite music, and caring for her dogs. But above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends, especially the summers in OCNJ.

Barbara was preceded in death by the love of her life, Joseph Angell, Jr. in 1999. She is survived by her children Karen McLaughlin (John), Charles Covey, Jr. (Debbi) and Stephen Covey; grandchildren Allison Horgan (Mark), Lindsay Miller (Adam), Kristy McLaughlin, Melissa Covey and Tyler Covey; great-grandchildren Delaney and James Horgan, and Owen, Caleb and Nathan Miller. Her first husband Charles Covey also preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware Humane Society, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.

 

Funeral Services

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 12:00 PM at CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803. Friends and family may visit one hour prior from 11:00 to 12:00. Interment will be private.
