Anne Mary Meade

Anne M. Parsons Meade age 77, passed away suddenly on June 26, 2025 with her husband by her side.

Mrs. Meade was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1948 to the late John J. and Anne M. Kelleher. She was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School class of 1966. Anne also attended Goldey-Beacom College and studied to be a medical secretary.

In 1971, she married Robert B. Parsons and became a loving wife and mother. Bob passed away suddenly at age 47.

In 1998, she met and married Thomas W. Meade. When Tom came into her life, he brought her renewed joy, laughter and strength.  In 2021, they retired to their beach house in Fenwick Island, DE.

Anne was a lifelong practicing Catholic and she dedicated her life to caring for family and friends. She could sit on the beach for hours listening to the ocean and collecting seashells. Her musical talent included playing the piano by ear and she was a wizard at sewing and crafts. Her greatest joy came when talking about the grandchildren and their many accomplishments and hosting family gatherings. She never was without a dog in her home and worked in schools as a pet therapist for a number of years.

Mrs. Meade was preceded in death by her first husband Robert. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Thomas W. Meade; a daughter, Amy (Parsons) Anderson and her husband, Chris Anderson of Glen Mills, PA; son Brian Parsons and his husband Tony DeAngelis of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren Jenna, Zachary and Ryan; and brother Timothy Kelleher and his wife, Joan.

I recall the unusual campfire songs Anne taught my kids when they were little. We all had good laughs remembering those for years. I also remember a tubing trip at Uncle Bob's one summer as Anne and I tried to figure out the best way to use the innertubes. Getting on or into those things was quite tricky. We laughed so much. I also remember laughing so hard it hurt when Anne sat down at the piano during one of our trips there one day and played the McDonald's jingle while the dog joined her in "singing" along. My love and prayers are with you all. May God's grace and peace enfold you.

Bill and Linda Grant (Albence) writes,
My fondest memory of Anne was in December 1988. Her and Bob were at my parent's house. Bill and I weren't dating at the time, but he came to visit at the house. He brought a single rose. Anne pulled me aside and said, "If a boy brings you a rose, and you haven't even had a first date, than he is a keeper!" Well, she was very happy when she attended our wedding. She gleaned and said, "I told you he was a keeper." Well, Anne, it's been 37 years, and yes, you were right. RIP 🙏

Anne has always been a part of the family traditions at our home. She brought crafts for all the grandkids when they were little, always lively company and the best cook! Her sweet potato casserole and German potato salad were always the most sought after at Thanksgiving! She would bring so much stuff with her to Thanksgiving, we all would have to go out and carry the goodies in from her car. I loved that she and Tom traveled so far to spend the day with us. She will be missed dearly. Love ya Anne!

Anne: Thirty five years of friendship: Priceless! Lucky in love: Twice! Raising two successful, caring children: Awesome. Three grandchildren you were so happy telling everyone about ,and reveling in every moment. Your love for family and friends,: Phenomenal. Your unwavering faith: Remarkable! Last, but not least, a sense of humor and a wicked laugh: Joyful. I miss you already, but save me a seat. P.S. Don't forget to regale God and the angels about the times you cleverly managed to get a telemarketer to hang up on you! Love you, Donna

Tom...Dave and I are so sorry for your loss. I miss her so much. Anne...You were my best friend here at Mallard Lakes. I still have your last voicemail, and I have played it over and over again just to hear your voice. The neighborhood is quiet and it feels quite lonely without you. I will miss our special delicious meal swaps. Good friends, great food! I've been talking to you and I know you can hear. I wish you Peace and Love as you deserve. Thank you for being our friend. Rest well and please watch down on us. You are our Angel.
