Anne Marie Zampini

Anne Marie Zampini died peacefully on December 20, 2020.

A native of Wilmington, Anne was the daughter of Carlo and Theresa DeStefano and was married to her late husband, Andrew (Dee) Zampini for 65 years.

Anne loved traveling with Dee to many of the Caribbean Islands over the years. Cruise-goers were always entertained when Anne and her friends would put on fun-filled skits as part of the Cruise Talent Shows. She loved the warm weather and spent many winters in Naples, Florida.

Anne was an avid football fan and watched every NFL game on Sundays and during the week. Despite getting taunted by her family, Anne was an unwavering Dallas Cowboys fan.

Anne was known for her pizzelles and made many of them much to the delight of her family and friends.

Anne is survived by her children, Andrew (Eileen), Marie Allen (Jerry), Michael and Carl (Joan); her grandchildren Theresa, Michael (Kerry), Christina (Jamie), Stephanie, and Zachary (Christina) and her great-grandchildren Sophia, Antonio, Cameron, and Trey. I knew Anne from Churchman Village and she was a funny, kind, and gentle person. She loved to win at bingo, and had her special good luck bingo sign. If she did not win. she turned the sign upside down. She also loved Happy Hour with her glass of white wine. When she left the facility, she said she would miss Happy Hour and me. Please accept my condolences to the family. Thank you all for coming to visit her often and taking good care of her. That is wonderful to see. May her memory be a blessing. Susan Shertok

Theresa M Young lit a candle and writes,
Our condolences to the Zampini family. Such a sweet and lovely lady with a wonderful family. Her life has provided such a glow in our family from Zack & Christina, our new son-in-law and your new Zampini, to Joan and Carl who are such a pleasure to be a part of our families, and Mike whom I have had the opportunity to coach with. The joy and love that she has been able to share and develop within her own family has spread so much farther and wider beyond the life she spent on this Earth. We will keep Anne ( Mom Mom), you, and your family in our thoughts and in our prayers. Much love! Theresa, Michael, Morgan, and Matthew Young
