Ann Theresa Knee

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Ann Theresa (O’Halloran) Knee at the age of 95. She departed peacefully on February 7, 2024 in her sleep.

Ann was a devoted mother to her four children and a cherished grandmother to eleven grandchildren. She took immense joy in watching them grow and flourish, imparting wisdom and love every step of the way.

Born in February of 1929, Ann led a life filled with love, kindness, and unwavering strength. She touched the lives of family and friends who knew her with her gentle spirit and compassionate heart.

Ann earned her BA from Brooklyn College (CUNY) and her Masters in Psychology from Purdue University.  She was employed as a school psychologist from 1972 to 1995 in the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Miller Knee in 2016 and son, David Edward in 2011.  Ann is survived by three sons, Richard William, Kevin Robert (Joan Morris) and Thomas Francis Knee; eleven grandchildren Dylan Knee, Cecily (Knee) Hartt, Christopher Knee, Rachel (Knee) Bukoski, Samantha (Knee) McInnis, Jonathan Knee, Klara Knee, Robert Knee, Edward Knee, Jacqueline Knee and Theresa Knee. Seven grandchildren, MacKenzie Knee, Brooke Knee, William Hartt, Michael Hartt, Henry Hartt, Shea Bukoski and Molly Bukoski.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.

May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.

Funeral Services

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Wednesday February 28, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 7 Sharpley Road, Wilmington, Delaware where friends and family may visit from 10 to 11 am. Reception to follow at Chandler’s and private family Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
