Ann S. Rosen

Ann S. Rosen, born March 14, 1931, died March 13, 2023, one day short of her 92nd birthday.

We lost our mom and we’re going to miss her. She was happily married to Stanley Rosen for 68 years – wow! The world is going to miss a camp counselor, teacher, gardener extraordinaire, and collector of absolutely everything – especially experiences, friends, and people in need. And if you knew her long enough, and don’t know how to do a headstand or hang a spoon on the end of your nose, it’s not her fault.

Ann was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Rosen, her parents, Abraham and Francis Shapiro, her daughter, Kathi Rosen, her brother, Richard Shapiro and her nephew, Alan Shapiro. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Michael Rosen (Becky Rosen, who was more like a daughter than a daughter-in-law), and Andrew Rosen, Esq., her beloved grandchildren, Molly Rosen and Zach Rosen and her nephew Morty Shapiro (Linda).

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Jewish Family Services or the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Funeral Services

Burial will be private.

Condolences

Richard Rausch lit a candle and writes,
Ann and Stan are back together again. Ann was an amazing woman. I had many experiences with her in some of her collecting quests. She never did anything halfway. It was all or nothing for Ann. The picture of her gardening in the Lily ponds at Longwood Gardens will be something I will always remember. May she rest in peace.

Joe and I lived next door to Ann and Stan in the Ponds of Woodward. Ann was a very happy energized fun neighbor. She offered us many gardening tips and we enjoyed many dinners together. We will always remember her friendly smile. Rest in peace.

Just heard of Ann's passing and so sad.. Remembering her from Harlan elementary when she was 1st getting married to Stan. She was so young and pretty and so excited to be getting married. Nancy, Darla and Tyler Wilson writes,
A tardy, but heartfelt condolence message to all who loved the warm, generous, intelligent, energetic Ann - As we so recently shared in Stan's obituary, the Rosen family and the Wilson family go back over the past 65 years, and many happy and some sad memories were built in this lifelong friendship. Ann and Kathi joined the Wilson mother and daughter duo at a rustic spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin in the late seventies...late night talks and much laughter made the spartan accommodations fun and the time together precious. Ann & Stan's and Rod & Nancy's lives connected at many points over the years and my parents always enjoyed their good company. May you find some peace in knowing Ann is now with her beloved Stan. Once again, Darla, Tyler and our Mom, Nancy, send our deepest sympathies to the entire Rosen family.
