Andrea Lynn Seiple

Andrea L Seiple, age 50 of Wilmington, Delaware passed away peacefully on October 1, 2021 surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Andrea graduated from Concord High School in 1989.  She attended Delaware Technical Community College of Nursing and Dawn Institute where she earned her Medical Assistant Certification.

Andrea held various jobs to help put herself through college. Andrea had a love of health care, she worked for ChristianaCare as a 911/Answering Service Operator. She then took a position as an emergency room registration clerk all while in her Nursing Clinicals. Following her medical experiences, she worked as a Fraud Department Representative at Discover Card and Bank of America.  The last 15 years, Andrea was a stay-at-home Mom and proudly took care of her family.

Andrea was full of life! She always had a smile on her face.  Anyone that knew Andrea, knew she was competitive, yet easy going, courageous, stubborn, and strong.  Andrea was very passionate for her children and always worked hard to provide for them.

Andrea was an avid swimmer. She spent her summers at Del Vets Swim Club earning many 1st place medals and trophies. She earned her name on the record board many times for butterfly, backstroke and relays… She knew she loved swimming when she placed first in Butterfly as a 6-year-old in the Delaware State Championships. As she grew, she took her talents to the Brandywine YMCA and SWAT winter clubs and excelled. Andrea loved the outdoors, she camped and as a young girl she became a Girl Scout while attending Saint Mary Magdalen Class of ‘85.

Andrea played softball for the Talleyville Softball League. She was a savvy, proud, and accomplished shortstop.  Her travel team went to the National Championship in Oklahoma.  She loved to play Pool for Delaware APA, where in 2005 she was awarded a Billiard Table for finishing first place in a tournament.

She spent her summers with her beautiful daughters visiting various wolf sanctuaries, rafting down the Brandywine, camping, and tailgating at her nephew’s sports events. Andrea enjoyed laying by the pool, playing in the water, and spending quality time with her family. She loved traveling and spending time in New York horseback riding with her children and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Mary and John Perrone, her stepfather Charles Hart, and her brother Adam Seiple.

She is survived by her beloved daughters Casey and Abigail Seiple, her mother Elissa Hart, her father Steward (Penny) Seiple, her sisters Kristin (John) Andreoli, Linda (David) DeKay, brothers Matthew (Jackie) Seiple, and Nathan Seiple, 7 nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Her family would like to thank Christiana Care, University of Pennsylvania, and Fresenius Kidney Care, for their exceptional care over the many years of Andrea’s illness.
