Adeline Cox Trabbold

Adeline Cox Trabbold, age 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Adeline was born in Netcong, NJ in 1923, and moved to Wilmington in her early teens. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Cox.

Adeline grew up in a large family with six brothers and two sisters. There were always large Sunday dinners where everyone was welcome. She later met and married the love of her life, Pete Trabbold.

Adeline worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Delaware for over 25 years and retired to spend time with Pete, enjoying their farm in Townsend, DE. Adeline enjoyed gardening, drawing, crossword puzzles, quilting with her friends, but especially spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Adeline is in Heaven now with her loving husband Pete; mother and father, sisters and brothers and friends who were waiting for her.

Adeline is survived by her daughter, Doris Boulanger (Jim) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Holly Boulanger Collas of Wilmington and Jeffrey Boulanger (Linda) of New Castle and her great grandchildren, Miranda Boulanger and Cole Boulanger.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803. A visitation will be held prior from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery, Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, 1225, 100 W 10th St suite 209, Wilmington, DE 19801

Funeral Services
